I recently moved to Bangkok and find Thai girls are very beautiful. One of them told me that no Thai girl will permit a BF to touch their hair unless she is almost ready to marry her.
I understand that many girls are very possessive of their hair and with girls as beautiful as Thai, this may be natural.
But I wonder if Thai girls are just too possessive of their hair. Why do they not let their BFs touch their hair?
A: Not a problem. Every girl is different. My last Thai girlfriend had the most bueatiful hair I have ever seen, she loved when I touched it. I have dated many thai girls and have never met one that minded if I touched her hair. Touching the top of someones head is culturally not acceptable here, but even that can be done by close family and friends. You will hear many strange things here, but remember every Thai person is different, there are no universal truths that can be applied.
One thing that is interesting here is the phenomena of cutting ones hair when breaking up with long time boyfriend. You can go down to Pratunam and buy real hair that girls have cut and sold to the vendor. I didn't believe it was real, but sure enough it is.
